If the kid did run he wouldn't even be the first ginger. You folks need to shut your flapping mouths.

Tanner's high school teammate and good friend Kai Wilmont, the 2013 Nike Cross Country Nationals champion is at Wisconsin. May explain a little bit and give Wisconsin the edge in his choice..

Wisconsin, really? How many scholarships do they have? .

Based on his talent, he should select Wisconsin. Best long-term potential. Then perhaps NAU. They are the only two programs that have produced Olympians in the last decade in American distance running and Tanner Anderson has Olympic potential.
Oregon? They have not only Olympians, but Olympic medalist!
If he wants to pursue Olympic dreams, he should take a loot at Oregon.
would be a good choice
Finally someone's talking sense. And if the course can't handle that many people, just move the course.
There is a hard qualifier, place in the top 10 at one of the regional races. Tanner did not. He should not be able to race at Nationals.
The issue with this is the fact that Tanner couldn't possibly run the FL qualifier AND NXN. They are on the same day, which gives him much less of a "choice" than you make it out to be. I would love to see the winner of NXN given a birth to foot locker, especially in the case where the kid is from a region where you can only run one of the meets and is choosing to help their team.
