Too bad the commentating on NBC wasn't any good. DIdn't mention Kessler's name until like 150 to go. Why didn't they have a distance commentator?

Track fans were concerned when he hadn't really approached his 3:34 time in high school but this puts him very close (like 1 second) to all-time top 10 for Americans. Just a great race.

Incredible run by Hobbs! Also stoked for Centro running 3:36 (3:54 mile equivalent), especially considering 2 months ago he only managed a 4:06 mile!

The USA 1500 team is going to be very interesting. Centro moving in the right direction. Can never count him out. Super stoked for hobbs after a couple meh years! Teare looks good despite looking like he’s been racing on tired legs. Who knows About hocker. Nuguse is an animal this year. Engles with a solid 800 last night. Going to be fun to see how things shake out.

A legitimate goal for this year for Drew should be to make the final in Eugene. It’s a stretch but he has a chance.

Agree I feel like every cycle the men’s 15 is by far the deepest and really no one feels guaranteed

Those NBC commentators just have no clue about track and field. Their vocabulary is solely limited to the NBA, football and baseball.

Great run. Fast early pace and he positioned himself and stuck at the back of a 6 man group. He never allowed a small gap. He had enough at the end to pass a couple. While pulled to a good time here, he had better tactics than prior races. That is in part due to better fitness. It's also part of more experience at this level. He has a great year last year despite some injuries. It takes time and experience to become consistent.

His goal should be to be 2 or 3 races together back to back without an injury
