He had a broken foot last year and now this. He says he'll be back in April for the 2023 edition.

Who cares?
I care more about Greg than I do this pompous baby.
Here we go again...
Maybe some spare time to put back into supporting grassroots athletics in the UK now Mo?
Eh, doubtful. You’ll not see him at any events that don’t have cameras and football or reality tv show stars to brush elbows with.
Mo will be 40 next year. He is finished as an elite runner. Maybe he can contend for age group awards.
At this rate he should just call it quits and retire from active athletics!!! He's becoming another K.B.
Dodging Bekele. Sad!
Except KB actually still runs super fast. MO ran 27:50 10k last year and missed Olympic standard by 22 seconds...
The only reason why he wants to come back is because Virgin is giving him an ungodly amount of money for appearance. He wasn't gonna be close to contending for the win this year anyway. He would have been lucky to run sub 2:10.
Note: Virgin is no longer the title sponsor; it's Tata Consultancy Services.
No, the longer he continues to compete, the more chance there is a chance of him getting popped like Lucazade Linford.
What a bunch of jealous saddos you are on this this thread. Are your lives really so miserable that you have nothing better to do than this?
What are you trying to say?
If London marathon keeps paying him hundreds of thousands to show up and run, I wouldn't be retiring either.
Career is over.
Money grab from Djibouti Shipping Port, money grab from "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here", money grabs from various food products in the UK, failed twice for 10,000m qualification, turned over at British 10K Champs by Ellis Cross, won Big Half against a domestic field in nearly 62mins, now this.
He should have pulled the plug years ago. I'm not saying he's washed but he's no longer competitive, nor anywhere close to the standard he once was
Money grab? Or earning his living based on the talents he's got?
If you had his talent, are you saying you'd live in penury and race in a club vest whilst being one of the most recognised and successful athletes of all time? Get real.
He's made some bad choices, and perhaps his marketing advisors get it wrong from time to time, but who are we to begrudge someone earning their fortune through their talents?
I listed money grab for 3x things. Shipping port, a TV show and food products.
You tell me which of those crosses over with "his talents" because none involve running, and public peaking definitely isn't his thing
*speaking
Too bad
This forum is full of bitter middle aged men (or immature teenager), it comes with the territory.
