The marathon window closes this weekend, and we will likely only have 3 athletes competing. Tokyo looked like a high-point, particularly for the depth in middle distance athletes. But fast forward a few years, and where has that team gone? It's an old team, and most of them have not set personal bests since (aka - on the decline). Sadly there doesn't appear to be much youth coming through to replace them, as we only have a total of 4 athletes with standard from 800-10,000, and a handful on rankings. Looks like we're back to being a country of sprints/throws...
