A record six sub-2:04 men will battle in London on Sunday. Does Kenenisa Bekele have anything left? Will Sisay Lemma repeat? Can "Bronze Man" Bashir Abdi win his first major? We break down the men's field. *MB: London Maratho...
It will be a replay of 2016 and 2019 Berlin, perhaps not as fast (I can see 2:03 happening though). Either way, he's gonna send 90% of letsrun home DEVASTATED
OMG I am anxious about Bekele, I truly hope he wins! The half he did was ok, if that was in hard training... Let's send it. But the field is strong with Bashir and Legese(who hasn't been running well this year or?)...
Oh Legese is in this as well, it's gonna be a repeat of the 2019 Berlin Marathon then. Him and Kenny B set out at sub-WR pace, he "drops" Kenny at 30k before fading himself and letting Kenny overtake him to finish in 2:01:11. Everyone goes home devastated.

Love this prediction. Although I don't believe they will go out WR pace... And believe winner will be around 2:03.
Rojo, Wejo, Jon, and others: you need to look deep into yourselves to realize the truth. 2:01:39 was not a fluke. Bekele is the greatest runner of all time. Either he DNFs or he wins with a new world record. KIPCHOGE IS GOING TO BE SWEATING BUCKETS WATCHING THIS RACE!!
Amos Kipruto won the rainy Göteborg half marathon this year in 01.00.50 (not shown on his World Athletics profile) as Tigist Assefa the winner of Berlin Marathon. Is it a good omen for him ?

Amos Kipruto is a decent journeyman who just lacks that extra oomph to be an actual winner, if you ask me.
Never been happier to be proven wrong. Kipruto looked so good dropping that hammer.
I started getting faith in Kipruto when he dropped his 2:03 in Tokyo behind the great man himself. He looked very good today and I believe he's learnt a lot from the G.O.A.T.
Beating 8 elite Ethiopians on your own is no mean feat. The guy has arrived.

Kipchoge is alright.
By the way, Kipchoge could still break his world record next year. I have a feeling he'll go for the sub two.

I hope he ignores the pressure to run these slow American courses. We need him to be sure he put in his best when the time comes to retire.
