would you guys say that he is on the level of 100/200m usain bolt or 10000m bekele? or are we just gonna hold on that bekele is superior and would have beaten this if he had never gotten injured back in 2010?
yeah. i have long believed that it's very unlikely that a clean person has a WR over a bunch of known cheaters. however, even if every person cheats, would they still have beaten guys like bolt, bekele, el guerrouj, kipchoge? there's a good chance that they would still hold the WR
What a race by Kipchoge! 59.51 through the first half, 61:18 second half. The guy just keeps making the impossible possible. Simply incredible!
Incredible and farcical! People have to be a whole new level of gullible to believe this guy is clean. His star was fading in 2012 when he couldn’t even make Kenya’s Olympic team. That was 10 years ago! Then all of a sudden he magically turns things around and gets better and better and runs these insane times as he approaches 40?! What a farce!!!
Yes he overcooked the first half and probably could have ran sub-2:01 if he paced it better but my god that was exciting thinking sub-2 was on for a good hour and ten
I can't say he overcooked it! If they want to see a sub 2h marathon, it's better to start earlier! In span of 2hours, temperatures can rise from 53's to 65' when running at this pace things can get tricky!

His rate of improvement is such that he will definitely run sub-2hr by age 40 - indeed sub-1.59 must be on the cards. Ain't it grand!
In the above post you've also actually admitted that you do infact enjoy harassing people on LetsRun so hopefully that will actually get you banned!
It depends whether you call the truth harassment. Are you admitting then that you enjoy watching doped performances?
Armstronlives , I love Kipchoge dont misunderstand me , he 's one of the goat in distance running. but watching all these years of total dominace breaking World records like a second nature , years goes by and he 37??? (looks like well in his forties) keep on improving and to break world records like others runners doesnt exist again , .Watching at this races it brings me back when we looked at Lance Armstrong 7 wins at Tour de France , same feelings , is not good for the sport when you see some kind embarrassing domination......things in cycling was getting better when Armstrong cheat was exposed and like him many others ........ i m still waiting that the same thing happens in road running
Passing a bottle off to someone well under 5:00 pace is like a baton pass. Hydration is usually very important in the marathon so I can see a missed pass really jeopardizing his performance.
Has anyone tested the bottle guy? He looks juiced!

I figure if he ran even splits he could have maybe maxed out at 2:00:30
Yes, the last 3, 5km splits are good indications of the pain after going out so fast. But what about this factoid: EK’s second-fastest and slowest kilometers were back-to-back, kms 39 and 40: 2:37 and 3:12 (fastest km was the 2nd, 2:31). He had been slowing each km from 32. Indicates to me that he, after that 3:12 km he realized he was not going to go under 2:00:00, and he picked it up and pushed through the last two kilometers (2:53 and 2:52) for the WR. Magnificent performance.

Alan
I guess that Bottle guy is not an American
They don’t tend to do well in baton passes
The bottle guy, Claus-Henning Schulke, knows what he is doing:

My God you are such a clown show of a person.
I'm sure people have pinned you down on this before but for my sake and possibly others: what exactly is your position? That every single top Runner or athlete ever has used Peds?
or.... tell us the exceptions. Who are the clean champions or record orders or very top elites?
Are Jakob and Warholm cheaters? what about Grant Fisher? What about Ryun, Ovett, Coe and Cram? Centro? Jonathon Edwards? Mike Powell?
