He covers a lot of ground, and it's great to hear stories from the time when athletics was a sport with mass publicity interest. A few highlights:
- he thinks Kerr will win gold in Paris (though may be some British bias there).
- says Jakob is too distracted by the 5000 and won't break the 1500/mile WRs until he improves his speed
- talks about his own WRs including going out to celebrate with Said Aouita on the night he broke the 1500 WR. Aouita was 2nd in that race.
- once feigned an injury to get out of running the 800 at the British champs because he wanted to save himself for a 1500 WR attempt.
There's a lot of other stuff in there and he talks about his own coaching as well. Well worth a listen
