Day 1 At Worlds

LRC Final Genzebe Dibaba Wins Thrilling 3k, Hassan 2nd And Muir 3rd Genzebe Dibaba’s mastery of the indoor oval continues. Dibaba was able to just hold on and secure a much-deserved gold after she made a big mid-race move. The question we have now is, “Should Hassan be DQed for cutting off Muir near the line?”

LRC Should Sifan Hassan Have Been DQed For Veering Out And Obstructing Laura Muir? In our minds, the IAAF rule book needs to be reworded as a DQ is very harsh. We’d prefer to have seen Hassan moved back to third for fouling Muir.

Six big stars, including Paul Chelimo, won’t be in there either because of ridiculous DQs or the inability to get a visa and that’s a disgrace.
