He could have ran away with some success.
I wonder if it was MB?
Je suis Bosse
You're right, this attack must have been a big surprise to him. If he had an inkling he could run and no street hoods could possibly match the current 800m World Champ in a footrace of any distance at all.
Is Rabs, his cat, okay?

Yeah, I was just critiquing Calculo on the Rieti thread as he claimed 1:44.1 was useless and I just checked Bosse's London/seasons best it popped up he had been assaulted. Sh1t, terrible.

Um, ever hear of MB?
That stinks. He was one of the most personable and entertaining of the medalists at Worlds. The stuff with his cat after Rio also made me like him.
He was on vacation in southwest France and was attacked by three guys in a casino parking lot who had asked to take a picture with him.
You'd think with his speed he could have outrun his alleged attackers.
Sad to say, but in France you do have to be careful of strangers at night. North Africans, Gypsies, Eastern Europeans, Chechens. That said, at least in France there aren't big gun problems like in the US or no go favellas where you'll be killed on entry like Brazil.
Bosse is a tall guy. That makes me think it was Eastern Europeans. But it's just my speculation.
"I suffered unspeakable psychological damage,"
This makes it sound like some kind of sexual assault. Maybe he was raped or forced to watch as they raped his girlfriend. What do you think?
Definitely sounds like a hired hit team. Goes to show you what happens if you don't follow the script and end up being a white guy winning a mid distance world title..

What is this with his cat? I must be missing something.

It was a casino parking lot at 4 in the morning.
He bumped into the women's 800m winner in the parking lot and, to his eventual regret, said "Wassup dude?"
