2023 USA 5000s: Abdihamud Nur Wins His 1st US Title, Elise Cranny Completes 5k/10k Double
Nur was great over the last 1k as Woody Kincaid's big kick was nowhere to be seen and Grant Fisher was a DNS. The women's 5000 was a carbon copy of the 10,000 with Cranny a dominant winner.

The fastest two Americans in history Evan Jager and Stanley Kebenei have both scratched and Andy Bayer (#7 all time) is retired. That leaves Diamond League Hillary Bor as the favorite, but there is certainly space for the likes of Isaac Updike and Mason Ferlic who have both beaten Bor this year or newcomer Sean McGorty to make their first US team. And Benard Keter just beat McGorty.

PTF Day 1: Osako Beats Rupp, Ferlic Beats McGorty, Frerichs Rules the Steeple
Suguru Osako destroyed Galen Rupp over the final 400 of the 10,000 and then became a legend by running the B heat of the 10,000 immediately afterward. In the steeples, Courtney Frerichs looked great in her second steeple of the year while Sean McGorty did not take a step forward.
