True. I expect Fisher to do much better than Klecker at the WCs. But, winning US titles is nice, and when you're the American record holder, it's somewhat expected of you. I'm sure Fisher is disappointed

That is a good point. Having the trials so much sooner than normal must be weird for timing your peak...the real test for Fisher will be the 5k trials against Chelimo

You do realize he took time off after that TT and is currently in "May fitness"? He's finally in a position where he doesn't have to peak in May to make the team and you're pissed about it.

Fisher should have dominated this race. I don’t care about the time, but he should have been playing with this field and then put them away. Had Jerry destroyed the top BTC athletes? Karissa looked good, but Cranny and Fisher, not good. This is disheartening.

It’s a national championship. A meaningful medal and he can’t run down Klecker at this lane pace? Is Fisher going to be our world beater? This race should have been a cake walk. Klecker is a better athlete than Fisher. Fisher peaked and on the down side of career .
Yeah this was a bit concerning. He should have gone to the front with 3k to go and just squeezed the pace down. He closed his 5,000 indoors in a 4:57 2k in a fast race. The Ethiopians can close faster than this in a 26:50 race.

Grant is the only contender who has run 26:30 and should be head and shoulders above the rest. So yeah, he messes around for 24 laps and never puts himself in a good position, and it’s his loss.
