I enjoy watching all her YouTube content and find her very engaging, but the USA is so deep that loads of incredible runners won't make it to the Olympics - what are her chances?

Seems like her best olympic chance is in 3 to 7 years. And that the main function of this trials is to put an obstacle up for her to deal with, in a way that does not lead to more injuries, so that 3 years is still plausible. I think this trials is more of a risk than it's worth if she has long term goals. She is one of my favorite channels to watch. I think I might need to shift it up and do a bunch of exerbike like her just to chase my hobby jogger goal and avoid endless injury. I hope she keeps her channel going for a number of years.
She definitely has the talent, but I don't think she can beat Quigley yet. However, I can't see Quigley really improving as she went from the best group in the world and having a world class steeple partner in Frerichs to training alone with a college coach, so that 3rd spot will open up. Coburn (even though she'll be a bit older) and Frerichs will remain 1-2 in the US until 2024 at least.
Depends on how fit Squigs is. She's in the running for that 3rd spot with a few others if Quigley isn't in shape. I'm rooting for her too, it's too bad she was injured pretty recently.
I love Allie and had the opportunity to see her run the state CC meet in Alaska a few years back. However, I put her chances of making the 2021 team at 0%. Her best chance would be the steeple but Coburn, Frerichs, and Quigley are simply too good for her right now. She had the opportunity to run Worlds because the US was allowed a fourth runner with Coburn as defending champion, but this is the Olympic Games and there are no bonus runners. We'll see where she is in 2024.
i've said it before on here but she is the only good runner youtuber that i have found. which puts her firmly in the running for best youtuber. she's funny and self-deprecating, but you can tell (and see from results) that she's tough as nails and really loves the sport. i like how she describes injuries at that point where running ceases to be fun or enjoyable due to the pain. way better way to think about it than the pain scale or whatever other subjective measure.
i think the meet this weekend will tell us how much to get our hopes up about her being top 3 at the trials. i really have no idea how the other female steeplers are doing.
Love her videos, but I don't want to see any more pancakes or coffee.

If there is one thing we know about the SC is that it's unpredictable. Not saying that Allie doesn't have the talent to make it outright, because she does, but all it takes is a stumble on a barrier for any of the "favorites" and it's a new ballgame. It's not like coming back after a fall in the SC is an easy task. I'm also not convinced that Miss I'm too good to run, is in the shape everyone seems to think she is. No races before it's showtime? No chance to get one under your belt before you go live? Yeah, I don't know about that.
GO ALLIE!
Love Allie’s channel! I am rooting for her to make the team. I think she has a shot at snagging that 3rd spot.
Friday's 3000SC race will determine if she is fit enough to compete for the third spot.
Colleen has been injured so there seems to be an opening amongst several women for this spot.

Stephen Scullion (Irish 2:09 marathoner) has a great vlog, in a different way. Very in-depth and very forthright about his struggles with mental health, substance abuse, etc..
Is she German? I hope she win
She is engaging, I don't really know why but she is

Her injury problems are not going to magically clear up. She has to change something. Could be her running form, nutrition, or mileage. There are fixes for all of these, but her plan has repeatedly been to just get injured again.
1% chance at the olympics because Quigley and Frerichs could get tangled on the water barrier and take down 4th and 5th with them.

She caused Covid.
"Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame"
Once the steeple got competitive, she was done. Then she had a baby and got married. The end!

I forgot that song was about a runner. I think she stopped competing years ago. Did she ever get together with the dude who wrote that song?
She will finish 5th at the trials. She will probably never make a team.
