This is not even mildly amusing or funny, even if meant as satire of some strange sort.
You are world class idiot. May you crash into a guard-rail too.....and not wake up.
Agree. Why would anyone belittle LV's crash?? Plus, why would anyone be bitter that I'm giving LV credit?? Disagreeing is fine- but bitterness??

The crash and his comeback tells everything about him that you need to know. So the lad didn't like college track/xc that much, so he left it. It's not really fair to him to define his life by that singular decision (to leave Oregon).
I disagree. The fact that he quit his xc team just before the NCAA regionals says everything about him that needs to be known - that was an unbelievably selfish move on his part...
Lukas Verz-ditch-us has no class whatsoever therefore all dialogue towards him should be removed from LR.
I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on this board and creates his own fanboys. Because no one besides runners world subscription holders, joggers, and kids that couldn't make a college team in 2010 know that he even exists. Game set match. End of conversation.

You should be a politician
Have seen Lukas race locally. His stridge length was huge for a hs kid and has been said, he was an aerobic monster. It's difficult to compare performances across the years but the best factoid about Lukas is that he never lost a HS cross country race. He came within a millisecond one year having to rush to the finish to win by a fraction.
As for whats his name the e harmony guy, you have to just laugh. He's ok, just trying to get rise out of everyone. Harmless. I wouldn't wish bad things to happen to anyone but they do anyway.

You can find LV's FL wins on youtube. Go watch. He was definitely the smoothest looking winner, and dispatched everyone with ease. One move, gone.
I applaud the kid for going for what he wanted. After all, that's what "real life" will teach you. You sacrifice yourself for other people, what you end up getting is walked over. Shame about the bike accident though. Imagine having that kind of talent and that gliding stride and having it taken away by a silly accident.
You guys that bash someone like that is shameful. Clearly a case of jealousy...LV ran those times and was by all accounts a low mileage guy.

"Neither was Ritz in HS XC." = Neither guy was at Ritz' level in HS XC.
Ritz *dismantled* Webb & Hall.
So what, Webb was a miler, Hall (at the time, and well into college) was a miler. It would be like bragging that Webb and Hall *dismantled* Ritz in a 800m.

Lukas won "only" 1 Footlocker (I don't think he won 2). But he also won NIKE the same year. Plus, he was a sub-4:00 miler & sub 8:30 2-miler in HS. Not to mention, he was every bit as dominant as Grant.
Neither was Ritz in HS XC. But Lukas was at Grant's level, yet his name's never mentioned, that I've seen.
It isn't that LV should (or shouldn't) be mentioned with Fisher.
It IS that Fisher SHOULDN'T be mentioned with LV, because LV was SO much better. That won't even change if Fisher goes sub 4 in an all high school race like LV. Fisher still wouldn't have the NXN title, the triple at Indoor nationals, all those wins over that Kenyan who was better than anyone Fisher has raced, etc.
I loved watching Lukas run, but considering his E Bloc roots and aloof HS situation , I can't help but think that he was doping in HS, and probably clean in Oregon XC.
Actually they did mention his name.

Think people generally acknowledge LV is in the top 5 to 10 guys ever in terms of high school distance running. He won footlocker twice. If people talk about him less now it's probably because he left the sport so soon after high school. No doubt that he's one of the best ever, and definitely the best in the last decade in my opinion.
re: "LV is in the top 5 to 10"
Your are joking right?
Ryun and Lindgren stand a lone, it is almost impossible to compare the resume of any recent H.S. athlete especially when adjust for the fact that Jim and Gerry's accomplishments were among the best in the world and nearly 50 years ago. Verzbicas would be 3rd on my list, with Webb, Ritz and Virgin (not in that order) taking the next couple of places. Fisher has an impressive resume already, but he has a long way to go to even be in the conversation with Lukas.
I can see Fisher ending up like Kim Gallagher, running a lot of impressive times, but simply focusing on winning, which is a difficult enough task. Albeit, Gallagher did run extremely fast and set records, but she focused on winning and racing H.S. athletes.

I didn't even chuckle. You didn't come across as sincere in your hatred of LV.
