I think that Dathan Ritzenhein is her father. She is fast like he was in high school and has the same last name.

Leachman, Ritzenhein, Hedengren, and a bunch of other really fast 2 milers are racing at Brooks PR.
Keep in mind that as good as Ritzenhein's 3000 in 9:17 was, Leachman ran 9:07 indoors and Hedengren ran 9:09 indoors. So Ritzenhein still has a way to go to catch up to those two girls.

Not every race is about times. She is a competitor. She won by a lot. Races aren't time trials. The best measure of who is faster is when they race against each other head to head.

He is. She was there because Dathan is there because On is sponsoring it and a few OAC athletes are racing. She won NXN too.
I think the custom kit is cool. I thought it was just a generic On kit, but during her interview I realized it had her school name on it too. Great that On is making custom singlets for their athletes. I wonder if they gave them to her whole team. A dozen Niwott OAC jerseys can't be much more than 1, given it's a custom design.
It'd actually be cool if they gave Niwott 14 jerseys for an incentive for girls/boys to make varsity. It'd be cool if they did that for every school that an athlete got an NIL deal. Nice for On because a bunch of kids would be trying to wear their jersey. Nice for the kids because they'd get a custom jersey, and future athletes would get to learn where it came from. Just another way to get people a bit more invested/interested in the sport.
