    Prior to this race, most of the discussion revolved around Rudisha, Aman, and Amos...Also Kaki and Solomon. Maybe 1% mentioned anything about Bosse. Oh wait, why is that? Because he is white?

    Amos has already run 1:41.73 so a 1:42 is less surprising than Bosse's time. Bosse was a shock, though people don't seem to have noticed the huge jump Cheriyut just made!

    This. This was a 1.23 second PR for Bosse. Amos had his day when he set a huge PR too.

    Coe obviously first, Cruz, Borzakovskiy barely ahead of him, Andre Bucher and Rødal barely behind him. All Olympic gold medalists except Bucher who was a WC gold medalist.

    Amazingly Nils Schumann, the 2000 Olympic champ, never broke 1:44...

    Nice troll! Ha ha, out of white runners? I'm sure you know the 800 and that whites have been at the top much of the time (recently--olympic champions 1996, 2000, 2004) Coe had his record broken only in 1997 by Kipketer. There have since been only two other non-whites barely better than him.

    Seems Bosse has potential to go below 1:41 though, so we'll see.

    I'm gonna assume he meant 1:41.xx aka below 1:42, not below 1:41.

    But if his gait is really that bad he should have potential to grow.

    Are you sure about that? Bosse is young and improving every year. He would have run even faster here had he not get boxed in with 200 to go. He runs with a lot of confidence.

    No way he is just a 400 guy. He's very good at the 1,000 as he showed with his 2:15 recently beating Aman in the process.

    Even with his awkward gait, you don't think he can bring down his PR at least 1/2 second by 2015?
    Future seems pretty bright for him.

    Oh OP is racist as can be, don't get me wrong. But the reason many people are talking about Bosse now is because he's relatively unknown. At the Olympics a lot of people were talking about Amos.

    great great run.
    142 solo really so he's made the comeback and is poised for 141, which i suspect more than meets the season's goals.

    message to coach. if rudisha is going to follow a pace maker for 400m, do it right. he's too far back to draft. it's amateur and stupid. corrective action. run 200-400m repeats following his pacemaker close in practice until it is "natural"

    otherwise if amos improves, he drafts properly all the way to 100m out and to win rudisha will have to be 10-15 meters better just to win.

    aman was full of run in the straight, and would have been the man in a 1K race.

    amos continues to improve, there is no reason (apart from injury) that he won't threaten the WR.

    progression of Bosse , Pierre-Ambroise ? he has a sebastian coe type progression, somehow i missed that. guy looks like jim ryun. guy looks pretty comfortable at speed....
