I'd be very surprised if anyone broke 3:28. Kiprop's race last year was special, and too much can go wrong if the pacers are off a tad or the front doesn't push the third lap.
I'll call a fast one, but certainly no WR. Kiprop FTW in 3:28 high.

what?
Two things:
1. No WR
2. Soul Man will win

He believes the winner will be Asbel Kiprop in a time between 3:26.00 and 3:27.00, exclusive.
No world record. Kiprop wins it in 3:27.4, Souleiman and Kiplagat both 3:29 low, Centro 3:31.0
Soleiman 3.24 (after his impressive mile at Oslo). Kiprop
ties up and finishes in 3:41. Centro around 3:32.
Kiplagat 3:30. Ingebrigtsen 3:29.
Kiprop did not beat his 800 PR this year, but not far off.
Both his 800 and 1500 PRs are on this track as well as his second best 1500.
So he likes this track.
The world record is a stretch but you just don't know.
Sometimes these hyped events become a dud, like the Paris 5000.
The slow times this year are due to improved testing.
heck, Merga hasn't run faster than 13:20 or so!!!
No WR, unless there is some special arrangement that there won't be any testing at the meet!
I think Kiprop will win in 3:28 mid with Souleiman in 3:29 low and Kiplagat 3:29 mid.

Will the 1500 World Record be broken in Monaco? And if it does, who's gonna take it down?
My guess would be Kiprop has the best shot, but he didn't look the best in the past few 1500s he ran - but he's coming in with a 800 PR
Prediction: Kiprop, Souleiman, Kiplagat - no world record, but gonna break 3:27
If anyone breaks the world 1500m record this summer, I will donate $100 to a major charity, tbd, and post the proof on the Letsrun mb. It's not going to happen, but I would be elated enough to do dance around to Rick Astley on repeat for hours. haha
Souleiman in 3:28.6 kiprop in kiplagat in 3:28.8 kiprop in 3:29.6

Do you know how dumb that sounds?
Any drugging to run well here has already been done.
And the right drugging doesn't show up on these tests anyway.
Letsrun thinking this skinny kenyan pleb can break EL G's GOAT world record
Asbel won't break 3:27, the goat did it 5 times.
The only man in history thus far who could take down El G's record was from Kansas not Kenya
whaddayamean "could"? I read here on letsrun that he DID!
I think kiprop will be close but he will not break it as he may be tied for WL for 800m but will not beat the 1500m world record.
