This is Sha'carri's world now, we're all just living in it.
We merged two threads together and just combined the title.
This is Sha'carri's world now, we're all just living in it.
1) Steiner’s arms…I still say she can get nowhere in the 100m with that arm action.
2) SCR totally kept her composure, and did well what she does best. Her form never broke, the front-side ROM never changed, her torso angle didn’t change, her footstrike didn’t change…from 40-100 it was beautiful.
3) SCR might not have the strength to seriously drive out of blocks. She reminds me of a slighter Tianna Madison/Bartoletta, with a bit better hip position at speed, but with less drive strength. I am curious if there is more that she can gain just by playing with angles, with the same amount of effort. Maybe she finds it hard to transition from one form to another, idk.
4) That’s probably not the Jackson we will see later in the year.
5) Look at the gap SCR put on TT, not to mention the other Americans. She is a lock for the team, at 90% effort, at this point.
Super fun race for early in the season. Great that Jackson and DAS showed up. Yeah I know they get paid and go shopping, but still, it was a good head-to-head.👍
Here you go bud you dropped this.

whens her next failed drug test?
It is very sad that you think a group of people with similar opinions are all one person because it makes it easier for you to dismiss other peoples point of view.
There are a lot of people who find Shacarri very annoying. It isn’t because she is black. It is because she is very annoying. Not everything is about racism. If you still think it is then please go cry about it.
He admitted that he’s the truth..
He forgot his password and had to make a new user ID.
I have found Richardson very annoying in the past but I am willing to give her another chance.
We have given others another chance that have committed far worse infractions than Sha’Carri but haters are gonna hate.
Now GTFO of here, chucklehead…
I'd be a big fan if she acted normal. And like the previous thread, before the wokes accuse me of racism, it's not a "race" or "gender" thing - it's a Sha'Carri thing. To just use two examples, could you ever see Mu or McLaughlin acting like that?
Also, point out where I said anything about “racism.” You can’t because I didn’t. Seeing that you’re rather dim witted, I guess you may have inferred that somehow.
If you could read, I stated "before the wokes accuse me of racism..."
And if you could read, you would know I wasn’t responding to you.
This is a terrific result for her. Still, it is a long season and it is very early. Her best Jamaican opponents will be running 10.6s at worst in Budapest if the weather cooperates.
Excellent run! I was also happy (and relieved) to see a relatively restrained and straightforward celebration and interview from her. Hopefully she keeps up the fast runs and better attitude, and we'll see her on a podium in Budapest :)
This is a very different SCR than we have seen previously. No chip on her shoulder. All business on the track. In excellent shape, showing that she has been very dedicated to her training over the winter. Form over the last 40m looks better than ever. She may even have laid off a bit the last 10-20m. I have not seen any reaction times, but her start looks a lot worse than it is because she is next to Shericka Jackson, who is 7" taller.
From last season to this season, there were far more ways for SCR to come apart than for her to pull it together. It remains to be seen whether this is as good at it gets or is just the beginning. She will need to get under 10.7 to have a shot at a world medal. But she sure looks like she can get there.
Yep.
Gotta give credit where credit is due. It looks as though she's on a great path to the world champs and show the world what she can do.
What uncaring parents put an apostrophe in a kid's name? If she weren't an athlete it'd ruin her career prospects
Agreed. When the camera showed her on the start line prior to the race, she seemed so focused and at peace, it was as if she had an entirely different aura. As soon as I saw her, I thought those other ladies could be in trouble.
For insight on her new demeanor, check out the video she released on Instagram yesterday. She said she has returned to her faith, and she added that she’s not back, she’s better.
Great to see the girl getting it together now, hopefully she has it figred out......finally. Great great talent obviously.
respect
At the post-race interview, it seemed like she had a kind of brittle psyche and she's doing her best. I'm glad she put together such a strong performance.
And those who are annoyed by her should be thankful that they don't have to be her.
