The problem for Ritz, when have we ever seen this strategy work for an American runner?

Lano is either in 2:09 shape or is going to die horribly
Rosario says Llano can win.
Vest? Orange vest? Does he mean "Singlet?" God, I hate announcers who do not follow the sport - they only read off info-sheets they are given and have no personal knowledge of the sport.
Ritz is attempting to do what has never been done before- Running a marathon on pure hate- His secret weapon- Fear of Crooked Hillary becoming president- expect great things...

And on this course means 2:07 shape, not happening. What's his motivation to help Ritz so much?
You know how I know the ESPN announcers do not follow the sport? They cannot pronounce most of the elite's names.

East African's must have missed the invite.

Ayantu Dakebo Hailemaryam, who is one of the women up in that lead group (Dakebo on bib) has run four marathons already in 2016 and her PR is only 2:33.
I'll admit I know very little about her but it would be a big surprise if she were to hang around up front.
Just adding some details on her 4 marathons in 2016:
Houston 17 January 2:41:35 (11th)
Woodlands 6 March 2:35:25 (1st)
Pittsburgh 1 May 2:39:18 (1st)
Twin Cities 9 Oct 2:37:22 (4th)
As you noted, best is Reims (FRA) October 2014, 2:33:59 (1st). Woodlands is 2nd fastest.
2:29:21 pace for the women at 15k

Ryan Hall ran pretty well in Boston in 2011 utilizing a fast early pace.
Ritz might be following the Flanagan Plan. She lead from the front for almost ALL of Boston.

Thanks for this - just disrespectful to the athletes, the women in particular.
There's a copy of my email during the summer in this thread (to NBC):
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=7441701I'll probably want to send some version of that, if I can find out the emails.
I'll wait until after the race to judge. I'm really interested in how they handle the finishes, and the way they'll switch between races or features as the race gets more interesting.
He doesn't mean singlet, he means best. Singlet is an American word, the rest of the world calls it a vest. I wonder, do you follow the sport?

What is the deal with Kim Conley's handheld?! Still rocking it at minute 54.
