That’s pretty crazy. On one hand it’s awesome that we have the depth where this is possible, on the other hand one wonders if we’ll have our 3 best prospects representing us in Budapest.
The 10k should always be contested more than 3 days prior to the 5k, as a separate event like last year.

How many guys will we put in the 15 man WC final?
I mean I think Nur and Chelimo are two who should be going. Being able to run a blazing last 1,000 or 2,000 will be required based on how the circuit has gone this year. Grant shouldn’t be going for obvious reasons. If this race is any indication, Woody was not gonna be double-capable at Worlds. Klecker is very good and I’d pick him over McGorty so that one I’ll cede.

That should tell you everything American Distance Running has been for the last 6 decades. We have great one-time performances and then get dropped when the competition demands it.
I always chuckle a bit when I see American as a label assigned to a runner. There are a ton of US legends who weren't born in the states. There are many foreigner citizens who live and train in the states for the elite American facilities.
He was born and raised in KENYA. Came to the US at age 19 and only joined Team USA after 2014. Besides. I was referring to American-born/American-raised runners.

Racist a-hole. You said "American Distance Running"
You know that 8 of the 56 signers of the Declaration were not born in the "US" (** actually none of them were because it was called British American at the time)

It seems you believe Bernard Lagat as an american as well. Lagat was 30 when he joined USA, it seems in Kenya he knew he wasn't going to have as big of an impact so he decided to just take advantage of a weak system here in the United States. Same with many Kenyans it seems.
On top of that, what does this have to do with the Constitution? America wasn't a Country then but....247 years later it is. Lagat or Chelimo are not americans, they're Kenyan by birth and nurture. They just prove that our team is so pathetic that we need to recruit Africans to win for us.
Just confirms the reality. Genes account for top notch long distance running legends of East Africa...
Despite American athletes having top notch facilities, they can't match the blistering performances of the mighty East Africans... It's only Jakob (through Ped influence) who can convert the best facilities to medals as compared to the rest 😀😀😀😀
McGorty doesn't have a high enough ranking to go (at least as of this past week because he hasn't raced it at all this year and only a couple last year), so Klecker would be on the 5,000m team.

Well, this pretty much sums up that you're an idiot. Do you realize how many WC/Oly medalists the U.S. has had in the last decade?
Off the top of my head: Centro 3x, Manzano, Rupp 2x, Jager 3x, Coburn 3x, Frierchs 2x, Brazier, Murphy, Mu 2x, Rodgers 2x, Wilson 3x, Simpson 3x, Chelimo 2x, Infeld, Symmonds, Seidel, who am I forgetting??
Does this sound like getting dropped when the competition demands it? But don't worry, you're not alone. This board is littered with people who forget how good America has become in the distance races.
