Love Mike Smith (my alias in college)... needs some global medals. Maybe Louis?
Global medals are near impossible in some of the events w/Kenya, Ethiopia, and some of the Europeans running so well, though. I hardly expect Grant Fisher or Woody Kincaid to get a global medal to call them successful. Fisher had the highest combined finish in the 5 and 10 in the past championships and set a bunch of medals. Kincaid and Klecker broke 13 indoors too. I'd call them successes.
Every once in a while someone like Centrowicz, Molly Seidel, I think Alicia Craig in the marathon, Clayton Murphy, or Manzano gets lucky, and we have advantages in the women's steeple and 800.
But it will likely be OAN who gets those medals at least in the men's 1500.
Luis was 4th in the 5k at worlds last year in Oregon and has run 12:52 this season thus far. I'd like to believe he could be in contention with about a K to go in the 5k at worlds this year.
