Certainly the most exciting sports event I've seen all year! For all I care they could cancel the superbowl and this weekend would still rock. Congrats to all the new national record holders and great races all around!
After watching it all today, Tuohy should rip up her Adidas NIL deal, give Henes a big hug and her undying gratitude, and get on the next plane to Boulder.
The crazy thing is, that Jakob probably could run 3:46 and still beat Nuguse.
Also, Nuguse will run 3:28-3:29 1500m this summer.
Can Jakob close sub 26 in a 3:47 race? No. Yared didn’t even look tired after he finished. He defiantly could’ve cut more time on the third lap so there is room for improvement.

Jakob most likely can't close in sub 26 in a 3:47. Yet he would have been 1-2 seconds ahead of Nuguse at the bell.

For more information see Tokyo OG final.
No way he would put 1-2 second on Yared with 200 to go. I don’t see that at all.
Nuguse is our hope at a 1500 gold. He can compete w Jakob
For once, I agree. Nuguse might be the only guy to seriously give Jakob a run for his money at the moment.
Come on, he's obviously got great potential but "the only guy" who can challenge Jakob? Wightman, Kerr, Cheruiyot, and Katir are all sub-3:30 guys. Let's not forget there's outstanding talent out there even if there's a shiny new thing for us to enjoy

Jakob would have run the 3rd lap 2 seconds faster (57) then the last lap a second slower (55) to win in 3:46

At the moment, none of the guys you mentioned could challenge Jakob as well as Nuguse.

bruh i love what goose/oac is doing but it's a bit premature to be leapfrogging jakob based on one race jakob didn't even enter... incredible performance tho & airing on network tv was cool too
