Ritzenhein (actually, everyone associated with OAC in Boulder) has been raving about Obiri's training and capabilities since she arrived. Might not have been hype. (hope I didn't just jinx it)
Having said that, Obiri has the worst form (or maybe I'll just charitably call it "unconventional"). Compared to the others, she's so much busier, and her line on the course actually wavers about 6-12 inches side to side as she goes; seemingly much more so than the others in the lead group.
Pit stop!! Why is Carrie saying he is "falling apart"
When you got to go you got to go!
74 degrees
62 degrees dew point
9 mph headwind as they head toward the finish
men on 2:04 pace
women on 2:24 pace
US WOMEN at 20 Miles
1) Tuliamuk 1:50:11
2) Rojas 1:51:12

4) Bruce 1:51:47
5) Flanagan 1:51:53

Bates is making a move. She was in 5th at 30K and passed both Bruce and Flanagan in the last two kilometers.
I know, now I'm eating my words. Hopefully they're done with it quickly. There haven't been commercials on this feed either.
Anyone else hear Lewis Johnson accidentally ask the first place wheelchair finisher what his plan was when he “walked out” this morning?
At 20 miles the women are only 5 seconds ahead of last year's split so the course record may be slipping away
18 seconds. Wasn't Shalane's 15 seconds?

It’s a simple slip. Not a big deal. I mean, if you’re a 13 year old troll it’s a big deal. But for adults that understand people aren’t perfect, it’s already forgotten.
do Nascimento needs to run on Kipoge's fist-bump mojo
Leader too a 13-14 sec toilet stop. Still trucking.
He’s bouncing off that pavement, Wejo! What are the shoes, Jonathan??
BIG DAY FOR ADIDAS!!!
