It's honestly hard to know when the course and host hasn't been released. Hilly course? I'm backing Ben True to shock everyone, and Lindworm is also very strong.

Flat course, a focussed Hehir and Bates shoot to the top of the list.

I am in agreement that D'Amato won't be on the team.

Seidel is in with a shout if she can get her brain right.

Fauble has the fitness but would need to be the aggressor at some point, which he has never been. Makes the "scared money can't win" tattoo extremely ironic.

Knows her window is closing so is chasing the appearance money.

I think you have to put Bates on the team in any scenario. She is nothing if not consistent.

At the rate USATF is going, there won't be an Olympic marathon trials, and they'll just take the top three off the World Athletics ranking list. No city is stupid enough to put up the money to stage the trials knowing they're never selling enough hotel room nights and local sponsorships to make up for what USATF/USOPC is extorting.

I have a coworker who (presumably--haven't checked the results yet) finished the marathon. She has now beaten Galen Rupp.
