Don't be shocked. Too many U.S. Marathoners log their miles then do: 10 x 800m at Marathon race pace or (5 or 6) x one mile at Marathon race pace or 3 x 2 mile at Marathon race pace once or twice per month and think they have done something. Obviously the young lady is doing (6 to 8) x 800m at 3000m race pace once or twice per mile the last three months before Marathon.
