Crying this much and being this devasted from that result, and shrugging away from interviews this time and last track season, shows there is a big psychological/emotional problem underlying everything. She needs to learn how to lose gracefully without it devastating her like this, or it will continue to be a problem and negatively impact performances in the future. I really hope she is getting some help with this and this problem is not swept under the rug. It is not normal to be this hard on yourself to feel so entitled that you always have to win, always have to be the best and to have this kind of mentality just because she didn't win. To be a good professional athlete, you have to keep a cool head and not completely crumble emotionally when you don't have a good race, there is a self-love plus mental toughness aspect plus emotional stability that needs to be there in high level sports otherwise you can become extremely unhealthy and let pressure get to you too much in championship races. I hope the people in her life and around her stop enabling this kind of thinking and this kind of reaction, and honestly tell her that she needs to work on it and get some kind of help for it. I do believe she might have been feeling sick, and I believe that a lot of it was psychological/stress related. I feel for her, and she needs help with this, this behavior is not normal and should not be excused.
