Agree - I mean I've personally been in far worse 800m races than that. Was once in a race with Nils Schumann who taught me a lot about space on the track if you know what I mean.
The 800m is a tough event, not just the speed you have run it at. You could spend an hour analyzing the race and probably find ways to DQ 3/4 of the field if you wanted to. So again, hopefully this result stands.
Ajees stride looked off, looked like she had a slight limp
Ajee told us once again that the same mysterious ailmane that bohtered her a few years ago is bothering her again but she refuses to tell us what it is.
As for Akins, she must have run that whole thing in lane 2. I didn't like her tactics but she's so much better than everyone else right now, it didnt' matter.
It looked like Murphy's contact was a result of Harris' pushing, which caused Hoppel to lose stride and slow down, which in turn caused Murphy to extend arm to prevent himself from running into Hoppel.
Or if a hurdler only wants to clear the first two for a warmup, they may want the third down so as to avoid running into it. A 42" hurdle will need the weights all the way back rather than forward.
Clayton murphy got cut off on the back straight and had to chop his stride. This happened on BOTH laps and slowed him down significantly. Ran the last 100m on pure hate to grab the 3rd spot
In warm-ups hurdlers typically run over the first 2-3 flights of hurdles. Officials put hurdles down beyond that so hurdlers aren’t pushing them down and creating a hazard for themselves or other hurdlers warming up.
Nobody is blaming Jones for cutting everyone off from the outside like an idiot, and preceded to shove his way into 1st place after he cut off hoppel and harris. Jones should be DQ’d out of everyone.
