Mo is not fast enough to run world records. This will not change that fact.
Based on his 3:28 I would argue in fact he is fast enough. It may be that he does not possess the required speed endurance.
Personally I do think he is capable of 12:35-12:40 at his absolute best. That point may have passed as he is now 33. But his peak is so close to the world record he would have to have the most perfect race of his life to beat it by even .1.
You can make up whatever numbers you want. He has PRs of 12:53 and 26:46. Those are very good but nowhere near the world record in those events..
He has very good under distance speed with his 3:28.8, which he has used very successfully in championship races.
He is a really, really good runner with a tremendous amount of success. Nothing he has run has ever indicated that he has the potential to break world records.
