For the 1st time in nearly 50 years, the men's 5,000 and 10,000 WR holder will debut in the marathon while still being the best in the world on the track. Expectations for two great races are high for the marathon as it is hoped that the Spanish all-comers record of 2:05:15 and 2:24:48, set in 2017 and 2016 in Valencia respectively, will both fall.
