Unfortunately, Ritz sustained an SI joint injury last week and has had to scratch. Was looking good after finishing 2nd at NYC Half last month.

beat me to it.
Sucks. Was really looking fwd to seeing how he did
Hope he still has one more decent ‘thon in him but I doubt it
Fucking hell.
Hope to see him in NYC or Berlin marathon.
Uggggh, I really feel for him -- I was super excited to see how he does and had a feeling he was ready to pop a good one, kind of like Meb in NYC '09 and Boston '14 (I'm not saying I expected him to win, just to outperform expectations).
At risk of talking above my knowledge level, I feel like he's got such natural talent that he should really make it his top priority to simply GET ON THE START LINE IN ONE PIECE.
I mean, he's been training hard for Boston for how many months? Why is it that he always seems to get injured like a week or two before his big races? If I'm not mistaking, his plantar issues started shortly before the NYC marathon -- and then flared up during the race.
I hope he's being cautious and can turn around and run great in, say, Berlin, or even something sooner.
Bummed out
Tough as nails, but so damn frail.
I noticed he never thanked his coaches. It must suck to be so talented and always have over zealous coaches that push you too hard. Hey Kevin you screwed it up.
A certain someone had an SI injury before Boston last yr and went on to run pretty well at NYC. There’s a silver lining to everything.

LOL he's has several injuries under a variety of coaches but THIS particular injury was because of the Hansons? Good one.
Just saying. He never mentions his coaches when talking about his injury. Sounds like he is pissed at them.
What does it feel like to get constantly scooped by twitter?

Is it a requirement to mention your coaches in a release about injuries?
Ritzenhein STAYS HOME DEVISTATED!

No, he screwed it up. Or will you blame the long string of injuries on Wetmore...on Hudson...on Salazar? Guess who the common denominator is in this equation?
GODDAMMIT

He is too underweight, needs to gain about 10 ibs or so. Compare Geoffrey Kamworor weight to Danthan.

LOL gaining 10 pounds...that's the secret...
Saves him from getting embarrassed by Rupp. Wise decision.
Doesn't matter he's washed up and would get his rectum caved in by daddy RUPP anyway
