Am I supposed to believe that the guy who just won this 5000 is "17" (and clean)?! This type of thing is just as embarrassing as NOP.
Close finish, huh... 8 guys between 12:58.39 and 13:00.49
Tim Hutchings just pointed out something funny -- Tanui looked like he was letting up slightly at the line to stop his watch!
17 year old Kejelcha wins it with a 54.55 last lap to run 12:58.
Anyone know where he's headed to college? I think Dave Smith told me he was likely to commit there?
Why in the hell was Tanui hitting his watch at the finish line? How hilarious was that?

I think the kid looks way younger than most supposed African teens. He looks legitimately young to me. Not sure if he is 17
He made the race. Props to him. I like his style of racing - pushing the pace.
17, dropped his 5k PR 30s within a year.
If he is really 17 and clean (big if) then he should be able to go 12:50 this summer, 12:40 by the time he is 18 and set a new WR before he turns 20.
On the other hand, the receding hair line seems to suggest he is well in his 30s.
Some of you like the attention, even if it is negative - like cam and Dustin. I have other plans for you.
Look what happens when Farah isn't there playing his stupid games, you get a proper race. That's what people pay to see.
FIFA had a great run. PBS for 3k and 5k.
This women's 1500 field is huge. 17 runners!
The rabbit Wafula made a mistake in the women's 1500. Once Simpson made that move, she should have dropped out. Instead, she drifted into lane 2 and ended up blocking Seyaum/Hassan with 500 to go.
Jenny Simpson FTW! 3:59.31.
Simpson looked incredibly the final 50. She had a lot of work to do but ran so strong at the end. Her form stayed solid the whole time. Four DL wins in a row!

He did. Gutsy runner. Tanui is one of my new favourites. Also, amazing finish by Jenny Simpson to hold off Dawit and overhaul Hassan who died spectacularly in the last 20 metres.
Yay, Jenny!!
Jenny Simpson is the distance runner we want to exist- without her it would be awfully depressing.
In light of all the NOP stuff, something tells me Jenny good girl Simpson is far from clean...

And on the exact opposite end of the spectrum in every sense, time for Justin Gatlin!
Gatlin vs. anyone but Bolt right now just isn't fair. Of course, we won't see that until Beijing...
