He didn't make it to 25k.
That is almost unexplainable to me. Could he possibly have misjudged his fitness that much? Not sure what he was thinking.
Looking forward to a good battle over the next 10+ miles between llano and ward.
With Ryan out, now they might have to pay attention to someone actually in the lead pack
Sage will run 2:20ish maybe 2:22, he shouldn't be discouraged in these conditions though, easily translates to a 2:18 or faster in Berlin or Chicago this fall if he went for it.
This is good for Hall. Really good.
This is obviously a HUGE VALLEY that god has put him in today.
That can only mean that he is due a HUGE PEAK in his next race.
Hall will be sub 2:08 FTW at the Olympic Trials.
Wonder if Ryan had ran more conservatively with the lead american pack, would he still be in the race or if he was destined to blow up.
The announcers trying to figure out why Hall is struggling. It's simple. You can't go out in crazy hot weather at a pace you can't handle for 26 miles. I guess the old adage holds for Hall; "You can't fix stupid."

Sage goes through 25K. He is almost running like a robot..Holding the same pace. Good controlled running. Estimated finish is 2:19:23 though. Will he be able to pull off 1:30 minutes in the end?25K 1:22:35.05 1:22:35.05 5:19/miquote]sslslalla wrote:

It's not hot weather.

Thinking the same thing.
If he knew he didn't have it today, maybe he'd rather DNF off a "fast" pace than simply get beat at a slow pace.
Sara Hall dropping off lead women's pack. Brianne Nelson, Blake Russell and Heather Lieberg are all among the women's overall leaders still.
Hall still has over 10 miles to go.
It is 68F at the moment in LA
Sara Hall is looking bad.

Can't believe I haven't seen this comment on here, yet, but could it just be that Ryan is off the juice?
How much longer can Hall keep ASICS at this point? Sure the guy has a following but come on
Sara Hall has blown up too. Like his mentor AlSal, maybe Magness can't coach the marathon either.
I bet Sara Hall DNFs
