oooh he gon kill it
Breaking ! Breaking ! Breaking !
My prediction is 2:16 if he is able to start or finish.
My Christmas present came early this year! Oh Ryan!
So he can finish without starting, and run 2:16?
Rather, all he has to do is finish the race without starting it, and he'll see a 2:16? Man, now I see why people say "Things were harder back then."
Sara Hall will keep him healthy and train him to a sub-2:12. Wife of the year!
I think lamarathon is held in San Diego.
It's a strange race for him to do. Seems like it'll be hard to train for.
The Los Angeles marathon has a $100k challenge where the elite women start before the men and the men try to catch the woman and the first runner across gets 100k, they try to arrange a time that would theoretically have the men and woman tie, so it is fair.

LA is in LA.
Not strange at all. They're hosting the US Championship next year and Olympic Trials in 2016. They're putting up more money than past US Championships. It would make less sense for him to run one of the majors. The question is whether he can run like himself.

We all have our dreams in life. I'm happy you fulfilled yours.
Ryan Hall is running the Asics L.A. Marathon. I mean he'll be on the starting line.
Pathetic.
This is like a major league baseball player retiring and then deciding to play AA ball.
Fixed.
Ryan is building an impressive DNS record. I can't wait for him to add another one to the books!
2:16:56
Hits the half in 1:05 then blows up big time.
Hall gets to run in front of his hometown crowd. Super news. Happy to see L.A. 2024 Olympic Games organizers allocating money to bring in the big names.

They didn't pay him an appearance fee - he's running the U.S. Marathon Championships, so USATF helps him with travel, but the prize money is the big incentive. If they wanted to bring in the big names, they wouldn't focus on Hall, who isn't even an Olympic team contender at this point considering he's not even a top 10 American marathoner right now.
