We have a new player in the 800!

What is it with French people and becoming the new GWH for T&F?

I sincerely hope that Amos is doping. To run that fast as a spastic without chemicals would be very depressing to everyone else.
Amos could have broken 1:42. He ran the entire final turn in lane 2. Bosse looks like he could have run faster too- he had a huge kick left at the end. Look at him grab his head after crossing the line. He knew it too.

No, Amos was wide of the centre in lane 1, but never in lane 2 on the bend. He ran perhaps an extra 2m, but he also benefitted from over 600m of pacing and drafting.
And as well as Bosse ran, he did not have a huge kick left at the end. His last 100m was 13.3, his penultimate 100 round the last curve was 13.2. So he was slowing down in the straight. In fact all the leading protagonists slowed down in the last 100m, Rudisha running 13.9, Amos and Aman both taking 13.4.
So Bosse just slowed down at a slower rate than the others.

Too true, you could even say Bennobad is hope for non-Kenyans in the steeple

That's completely normal in a fast 800 race. The last 200 is the slowest.
What does any of this have to do with Ralph Doubell still holding the Aussie national record from 1968?????????

Oh OP is racist as can be, don't get me wrong. But the reason many people are talking about Bosse now is because he's relatively unknown. At the Olympics a lot of people were talking about Amos.
I'm not racist. But when we're bombarded with literature about how Africans are more likely to have good genes for running, it's significant when someone goes against those odds. If I'm racist, then I guess the entire Sports Gene book is racist. But more to the point in a year where the 800 is very strong Bosse came out of nowhere to become the #2 guy.
Yeah, he was half a lane wide of the lane 1 center. He was in lane 2.
Look at the replay. His feet aren't even touching the line. Rushida and Bosse are big guys, there was no room for him in lane 1 as he passed them both and it took him all of the final curve to do so.

All these clowns have confused RACIAL with RACIST. Is it wrong to notice differences between races? To say that there are none is a lie. There's nothing wrong with celebrating the differences between different peoples, only with discriminating against them for it. Don't listen to these jerks OP.

I think this race should get him a little more noticed?
He is, just not in the US.

Once again, Deanouk steps in to try and denigrate any runner who isn't Sebastian Coe. These guys all ran great. Period.

Amos passed Bosse at the 600 mark. WTF race were you watching?

So Bosse ran his last 200 faster than Coe ever ran a last 200 in his sub 1:43 races. This makes him faster than Coe. Better in fact.

utter drivel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ioc5x1iArd0he runs 2nd bend wide in lane 1, ~ 2.25m extra
he also runs 3rd bend wide in lane 1, ~ 2.25m extra
he runs last bend very wide & before bend is finished is clearly in lane 2, ~ 3.5m extra
he also gets little worthwhile drafting as running wide so much of it
effectively, little drafting effort of 1'42.45 for 808m
that is a route-1 800 tight in lane 1 of
1'41.43
nijel is in pb shape

right, 141 now, and then?
Firstly I'm not deanouk.
Secondly I did not denigrate any of them. You clearly can't read or have poor comprehension skills.
I replied to someone who said Bosse had a big kick at the end, pointing out that it isn't a kick if everyone is slowing down in the last 100m.
Try to keep up.
Typical exaggeration from you.
He never touches lane 2 until the last 10m of the final bend, as he moves out wide to take Rudisha.
He would have to run entire last bend completely in lane 2 to run 3.5m extra.
He runs about 2m extra on second bend, less than that on 3rd and just over 2m on last. That's about 6m extra. He also gets plenty of drafting from 250 to 350 and then from 400 to 550m. That's the 250m that most record efforts get. He also had the psychological advantage of having Rudisha pacing him and acting as a target up to 700m.
If he'd been left in the lead at 400 with no Rudisha or Bosse in front of him, he would probably have finished in a slower time.
Amos passed Bosse at the 600 mark. WTF race were you watching?
No. If he wasn't clear of Bosse then he still had Rushida to pass. There was no way- NO WAY- Amos could be anywhere near the curb. He was in lane 2 the entire curve from 600 to 700.
So. WTF race were YOU watching?

It is a kick if you're slowing down less. It's the 800. You fat arses who've never run under 2:10 for an 800 should stop pontificating. Bosse did kick and gained at the end. Look at his change in form. Have you ever actually raced at all?
I think the guy is right, and you are Deano. If not , you're similarly thin-skinned and ignorant.
