What a sensational run. I jumped out of my chair and was screaming at the TV.

That was so badass
58.81 for the last 400. Wow.
her form in the last lap was incredible. You could see her move flawlessly, poetry in motion. What an amazing athlete!
She's ahead of the light!"
I did not envisage a woman running that fast any time soon.
This, for me, is in the same league as 9.58 Bolt.
Never seen anyone moving away from the wavelight like that. Totally unreal close.

Nobody can deny the goat status any longer. Absolute monster athlete, such a strong final 400.
shut up, dork
That was incredible.
I have not watched many WR live...I find it remarkable how excited the entire field was for her to break the record. I haven't seen that before. I assume it says something about the previous WR holder (and of course the Chinese record preceding it).
Congrats to Sage Hurta-Klecker too...that may end up the most memorable race of her career.

The last few seconds where the pacing lights aren't even in frame anymore has gotta be the most striking visual representation of dominance I've ever seen. Absolutely unreal.

Not impressed.
Now that the WR is out of her way, I hope she attempts the 15/5k double at worlds. She has tremendous potential in the 5000m.
Every now and then you see a record set and think, "If that person doesn't re-break the record, I very well could never see it broken in my lifetime."
I'm 50 and I think that could be true in this case.
Any video link? Thanks.
I lost track of time at work and forgot about the meet and only tuned in time to watch the 1500, talk about being lucky. I thought Tsegay could mount a challenge this year but nevermind.
