Agreed, but 3:32 is a good starting point. I think he can squeeze under 3:30 in Oslo if Jakob is really aiming for 3:26. What I like about Gourley right now is that he's consistently improving, he hasn't had a sticky patch since coming through at the British trials. I could say the same about so many others in the 1500 at the minute (Katir, Nuguse, the new Cheruiyot, etc), but it's nice to see Gourley among them - he gets overshadowed a lot by Wightman and Kerr in the UK
I’m not sure I buy the WR hype but sub-3:28 attempt? Absolutely - it’s the Monaco of this season. Good timing wrt National Trials etc. Gourley definitely reminiscent of Hoares improvements last year.
