Where does Rogers train? I know she ran at Texas A&M, which is not a distance school, but I don't ever see here until she shows up at nationals and stuff. And she brought it at this meet.

She hasn’t this year, but she did within the qualifying window last year. She’s also ranked 10th in the World.

Tuohy runs a 15:15 - not bad considering the pace that was set.

she finished 7th out of 22 pro runners. all in all a damn impressive effort.

The NBC broadcast team went all four days without realizing there are other ways of qualifying besides the time standard. I thought that was unforgivable.

Some people are a little too harsh on Tuohy. 15:15 with a 3:00 last 1k & 67 last 400 for 7th place is pretty good, especially after redlining at nationals.

Whoever the play-by-play guy might be, he is terrible. Cranny clearly starts kicking and is busy blathering about Josette Andrews who is 40 yards out of 3rd - doesn't deign to notice Cranny until she is 10 yards up.

I'm surprised that - as an NBC shill - he wasn't singing hosanna's to Allison Felix....

Definitely not a lock - based on the comments, sounds like Monson might let her go anyway, she isn't going to do anything with the level the world is at right now in the 5K.

True she lost to them, but you didn't even need to get top 3 since Mu isn't running. She would of been in the mix vs no man lands in the 5K.

That race by Tuohy was basically the equivalent of her performance at NCAAs.

Weather in Eugene right now is 73 degrees with a 51 dew point. Much better than in Austin. She is possibly at a worse level now than a month ago. So much for her "peaking her year for this meet" as some have suggested. If she really did, then she just bombed out.

Moved up throughout the 2nd half, from 16th to 11th and kept catching them, to 7th. And the 2nd fastest final 200m. Only Cranny was faster. Nicely done given her long season.
