Gutted for Abby....she has progressed a bit this series but not enough. Hopefully she lights it up on the Diamond League.
Without Abby, I just heard a door knock from the relay pool for Athing.

Knighton is HIM

No.... 22.43 at non
Welp, Lyles, Knighton, and Bednarek are going to repeat their 1-2-3 sweep.
Okay no more 1/2 double for Kerley at worlds.
Bednarek really is a gamer! Was not expecting him to make it this year
It's so weird how incredible Kerley is at the 100 and the 400, while being totally mortal at 200
And obviously, Knighton only has Lyles to fear

Does the schedule allow it for Athing? If it does, she’s automatic for the 4x400.

Is there a slim chance that she can still be added to the relay pool?
Well, Abby Steiner wasn't in the final of the 100 or 400 so she isn't in the relay pool.
Her only other way to run the relays is to make the team in another event, which she didn't do.
Her only chance now is for one of the top 3 women in the 200 to decline their spot.

Amazing turn from Kayla white. She’s had a super underrated season, remember she dusted shacarri in Botswana glad to see her make a team. she would make a great 3rd leg on the 4x100. Abby getting 4th gets her in the relay pool, don’t be surprised to see her on the mixed 4x400 at the least.
I’d be surprised because she isn’t eligible to go

Nope, not eligible. She would have had to be in the 100 or 400 to be eligible or be already otherwise on the team.
And definitely not with Gabby looking better at 400 recently, she took second behind Sydney at the GP.
Not sure Abby makes the starting 4x400 team. They already have Britton, Sydney, Talitha and Gabby. Maybe Abby makes it as an alternate.

Good / bad thing - still not sure how he hasn't figured out the curve, but he will dominate in the 100m since he will be fresh and focused

Gabby Thomas' reaction/celebration to winning was the best in the meet thus far
Good one from Knighton, too. It seems like he puts a lot of pressure on himself, so it's nice to see him happy and celebrating.

Steiner just didnt run well enough this season. There was a noticeable dropoff from last year.
The clock doesn't lie.
Not good enough this year!
She was not as good as the three ahead of her.

Correct me if im wrong but Gabby Thomas was named to the relay pool last year and she didn’t run the 100m only the 200m.

not sure about the schedule, but ya Athing is definitely superior in a 400.

It was a typo on USATF's part. It's not a PB. She had already run 22.43 earlier this year.
Yes, she just finished her junior year in high school.
That thing on Courtney Lindsey's right ear easily cost him .2 seconds and the win
