BLACK PAGE FOR WALMSLEY!!!!!!!
All those haters eating crow today.
What an epic fail in the coverage. Instead of showing whether Emily Sisson got the AR (I'm pretty sure she didn't), they showed an interview of some Aramco executive and the men's winner.
EMBARRASSING.
I saw her cross just before like 67:31.
Sisson finished in 1:07:30. Just missed the AR by 5 seconds. What a great run!
Walms is in !!’ yes !!’
Ignore Emily Sissin and show the "boken English" interview.
Hey guys, is qualifying for the Olympic Trials good for your first serious attempt at a road race? Just wondering.

64 min half for a male doesn't warrant a black page.

They have to give coverage to the benevolent overlords of the marathon.
Sambu only beat Walmsley by 1 second...

You racist.
Why should we give coverage to some American finishing 5 instead of a Person of Color winning the race?
It's important to show some diversity on TV.
What happened to Sisson in the last 1.1km? Impressive run through 20km.
What's with the finish area. Why are some runners directed around a larger radius turn. I can see splitting them on a straight, but that is just stupid.

I liked that interview. Kitata seems like a cool dude.

You do realize this is a local station don't you? So far, for a local station, they are doing a pretty good job.
At least they were there showing the race and not putting it behind a paywall.

It usually doesn't...but given the amount of vitriol spewed at ultramarathoners and Walmsley on these boards, it would be okay with me if this happened.
Dude went for it and got it. He could have taken the "easy" way out and gotten the OTQ via the marathon but instead he chose the much tougher way to do it. Good on him. It's good for the sport or running in general.

Was there anyone reporting with any background in running? This coverage was atrocious.
Also, anyone notice that no one ran over to give the winners anything warm to throw on as soon as they finished (at least a heat sheet)?

Its not racist. We want to watch runners wer have been following since college
They have another hour to interview the winners. Show us the race. They weren't even showing the finishers. They were just showing the winner standing there. People want to see who finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. The even is still going on.
In golf, they don't only show you the leader, they show you everyone that is doing well.

she picked up the pace for last 1.1
LOLOLOL. Anyone hear the commercial say "Even if you walk it, you can still finish!" Gotta get that sweet registration $$$$$$$$
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
