Is it an OTQ?
Isn’t the QT 1:04:00?
If so, then he not only did it, but should get extra points for being so precise.
yes, the b standard is 1:04:00, so if he ran 1:04:00, he makes it. the haters will melt.
Running 64 flat is trolling of a masterful level to send the letsrun know nothing posters home devastated.
BANG! BANG!

I was going to say that I think Walmsley was shooting for exactly 1:04 as the ultimate troll job on letsrun posters. Like I am not kidding. Amazing. Walmsley is the current front runner for troll of the year.
He would have run faster but he stopped at 12k to change his shoes and take in some nutrition. He was going to walk the hills but there weren't any.

He ran 1:04:00:32, that's slower than 1:04:00, so he won't make it sadly.
320 milliseconds too slow, can you imagine?
How much faster would he have ran if he wore the 4%’s?
Confirms his greatness.

Supposedly 61:26
Lmaoooo 1:04 exact? What happened to Jim winning the race? You know the last mile he was balls to the wall for sure to make sure he made it and the last K or so was only 4:48 pace so he very clearly didn't have a full tank left in him. This was not a troll 1:04 he wouldn't risk it like that. The ultra lovers on this board are ridiculous. Now we have to suffer through months of these idiots saying that Jim will make the Olympic team when he clearly has no shot of even being within 5 minutes of the winner.

Feel fee to post your half PR and your 100 mile trail PR.
Have we officially rounded it up to 1:04:01 yet?
Sorry Walms.

He could run in the 2:12-2:13 range if he concentrated on the Marathon for a while. With his speed he is unbeatable for 50 miles and also 100 miles on certain not technical courses. He should go after the US 50M and 10oK records on the road in the the next couple of years, they are his for the taking.
So tough courses, or courses with faster runners (e.g., Comrades) are not Walmsley-certified?

Great for Jim to make it to Atlanta.
Will he have a chance to go to the Olympics? Absolutely not.

Well, technically, he does have a chance since he will be running in the trials (assuming he stays healthy for the next year)... It's those who don't qualify for the trials that have no chance.
64:00 + Western States + UTMB = 2:09:59 in Atlanta
