So brave of her to get back out there though!
#braveynation #strongwomem
If she DNFd, I’m pretty sure it’s my fault
Kara has always been the embodiment of the true blue collar runner!

Oh you know if she gives a video interview the tears will flow and she will say how hard it has been with all the stress from the Alberto investigation. She will say something along the lines how she wishes she could say more but can't and that 1 day soon it will all come out (same story we have heard for what now 6 years).
How long will sponsors keep paying her for this trash? Sets up hype, posts something like "no matter what happens I'm so proud of myself!!1", and then drops out. This is not relatable to the people. If I have paid to fly across the country for a race and can't sustain the pace I am on and hurt a lot, I muster some motivation and keep trucking until the finish line.
Need video badly!!! The drama and sobbing will be classic.

You people are really, really horrible human beings. Why tf do you have to be so freaking mean? She is a human being, and seriously so much braver than any of you. And a billion more time deserving of her sponsorships than you ever would be of getting the ones you dream about but are too busy being on here talking trash to put in the real work to get.

Agreed, these guys are obviously scared of strong women.

What exactly is 'brave' about dropping out of a race?
Kara brought all the hate on herself.

How's that?

By being an attention-grabbing has-been for the better part of the 2010s. On top of that, her whole story about the Salazar situation (they did it, not me; I was innocent despite being in the group longer than everyone save Rupp and experiencing all of my success there!!!)
I don’t like her very much, but do respect what she has accomplished. I mean, her marathon PR is 25 seconds faster than mine and I’m a dude.

I am a woman, not a fan of Salazar or the Oregon Project by any means, and I still find Kara’s schtick annoying. I don’t really relate to her story at all, I can’t afford $80 vests (even if they’re spreading feminism or whatever) her crybaby antics don’t strike me as brave. It’s not men who have a problem with strong, successful women on here, as there is plenty of respect for Desi Linden, Shalane Flanagan, Molly Huddle, etc.
I was at the 30K near memorial Park.. I yelled out to her "Salazar says Adam is a puss" Within 100M she was walking. I didn't hang around to see if the tears were flowing at some of the spectators were giving me a hard time.
This thread is ridiculous. She drops out and it turns into a "Hate Kara Goucher" thread. Look I cant' take her antics either but still, give her a break, she dnf'd , who cares.

Yeah, that’s a fair point.
