The Dibabas team sure was. No one trashed any of their wins. Disgusting.

Of course. But what gives us pause is: why did they not have the A game? Ped crackdown? Match fixing? Hard day?
It's just a bit too feel good...
It just seems like in "slower races" the Kenyans don't do well. The women's race was SO slow that I think it hurt Keitany. Weren't they on like 2:32 pace thru the first 13.1
Some runners can not shift gears deep into a race even though the pace is easy for them, today you saw the runners that are able to shift gears. At the pace run for the early miles in mens and woman race there should have been more runners in the mix.
where did Betsy Saina finish?
what happened to Jared Ward

Yeah I felt the same after Meb won Boston but if the best guys don't bring their A game then it's anyone's race.

Why don't people like you just find a different sport to follow -- professional wrestling, perhaps, where your cynicism may be justified?

Anyone skeptical of shalane's performance??
Absolutely, yes.
Your points may be true, but the fact remains many posters stated they were in tears after seeing Shalane win. I myself was in tears. I didn't hear anyone talking about crying over Rupp's win. I can't explain why, but I mostly feel apathy around Rupp. I don't dislike him, I don't like him, I just don't care all that much.

Yeah -- I hate any story that feels good. It conflicts with my know-it-all cynicism, which -- like you -- I think makes me appear intelligent.

Not at all. I'd bet my life Flanagan is clean.
There aren't that many people in the world she can't beat. She's always been able to beat everyone but maybe the Keitany's/Dibaba's of the world.
No... since everyone is pulling their hair out over NOP and unable to be happy for that group, it was the perfect time to dope under the radar. She’s dirty and everyone knows it.
Good thing the live results are completely fvcking worthless. Oh the leader ran 3:43 pace?!? Nice tracking nyrr.
Really impressive run by Allie Kieffer:
5km 19:13
10km 37:16 (18:03)
15km 55:06 (17:50)
20km 1:12:38 (17:32)
25km 1:30:19 (17:41)
Half 1:16:36
30km 1:47:39 (17:20)
35km 2:05:01 (17:22)
40km 2:22:16 (17:15)
Finish 2:29:39 (2nd half 1:13:03)
Conversation with my wife, as she watches Shalane Flanagan win:
Wife: "That lady won?"
Me: "Yes, why?"
Wife: "She's old!" (Note the my wife just turned 40)
Me: "She's only 36"
Wife: "36? She looks really old"
Me: "Yeah, well, she runs really fast"

Isn't Jager under suspicion ? They should be according to your logic more so than NOP

My gf says Shalane looks 10 years older.
Women are catty.
If a man said this they would be beaten publically.
April Fools post is looking good:
- Some guy just misses 2 hr marathon
- American man wins Chicago marathon, runs 4:3x/mile last 5 miles
- American woman wins NY marathon beating Mary Keitany
- American women finish 1-2 in World Champs Steeplechase

Females are gonna cry about something like this more than guys lmao
The females also tried to act like the men's race wasn't even happening other than Meb running, all over his sack for some reason
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
