What a tool.
Boston ought to put his picture on the front of the Globe next to Csvernov's with a big line that read's "Boston Marathon's Most Hated"

I'm pissed. Where is the DQ? Where is the Rojo article? Where is the Rojo article about the DQ?
It's time to vote with our feet. Rojo has until noon EDT today to post an article or an explanation. If I don't see anything by noon, I'm boycotting this site and going back to Slowtwitch.

- tracking human beings
- stealing someone's work
- photoshopping nude photo and sharing them
- hacked bank information
- hacked private emails
- hacked private documents
- stalking
- harassment
- lying
- lying after medical mistreatment
- monitoring a woman through cameras
- verbal abuse/cruelty
- defamation
- death threats (I've received many this past year)
I know it's hard to see that you have been a terrible person, but you have been a terrible person. And then you blamed me for showing you the truth.
That's obtuse.
Also looking for some clarification on the difference between "lying" and "lying after medical mistreatment"
Can somebody explain to me what this is all about?
Because it looks like the poop just got very real.

Sorry but comments like this are why accusations of a witch hunt keep flying around. There needs to be a full and proper investigation by the RD which will take time, this is not a lynch mob nor a vendetta. If some one wants to write an article they will write an article. There's nothing stopping you from writing one
I can't believe so many of you still think Rojo is going to do a writeup. When it was mentioned, he said if they were going to get involved early they might as well write an article because then that article would be picked up by a bunch of news agencies. Around that time one or two other websites/blogs published an article basically using all of the data from the LRC thread. At that point, Letsrun was not going to benefit from writing their own article, and I assumed, as all of you should, that it was no longer happening.
This thread hasn't had anything of significance lately.

Is this Mike posting? I don't like to blame him for everything but he does have form for posting things randomly to discredit someone who posted something bad about him elsewhere? Is it about him or is it just posted in the wrong place?
Hoping for a DQ, but even if that doesn't happen, Mr. Social Media Runner Rossi is toast. This cheat is dead to the running community. He won't run Boston again, he won't be prolific on Twitter or his blog, his name will forever be associated with dishonesty. The DQ would be appropriate and welcome, but his trumpeting of (fake) accomplishments is over. Back to PT radio and wedding DJ for the narcissist Rossi, which has to hurt a super ego such as his. Sociopath or not.
Cheaters aren't very smart and tend to get caught eventually. The way I see it, this guy will probably do one of the following:
* Cheat again, at which point it will be obvious he is cheating, since he now feels like he has to prove he can run this speed
* Continue running as if nothing ever happened, and never come anywhere close to his time from that marathon, at which point it will also be obvious
I don't see the possibility of him training hard to achieve that time, since that requires a work ethic that I doubt this guy has.

He'll just become a name that gets mentioned in articles about other cheaters, like Litton. I honestly believe that there will be no admittance of guilt from Rossi, I think he will continue to try to convince others that he ran the race. If he continues to run he will no doubt get the occasional wiseass comments but life will go on and a DQ will just him more cause to play the victim. Other than he might wear less BAA logos, I doubt his life will change at all once the media dies down.
I think he deserves to be DQ'd and I agree that it is unlikely he will ever admit to cheating. Sadly however, I can envision him, as the post and boast sanctimonious individual that he has made himself out to be, to turn this around (no matter if they DQ him or not) and write (post and boast) more about this and try to springboard off of this fiasco (the school issue, the cheating, this board's superb effort, etc) into more appearances of Today-like shows, a book perhaps and a movie (kidding about the movie and the book). He will play the victim card no matter what the outcome from the RD and the USATF. The recipe for redemption/attention/$ has presented itself over and over again in this country and seeing the number of blind followers he has and those who feel he was somehow "shamed" by a principal who merely sent what amounted to a form (cover-your-ass) letter, there will always be those misguided individuals to feed tino his never ending ego.

I kind of agree with this, but I worked with a 40-something guy who had similar PRs (5K to half marathon, with no marathon attempts) at about 20 miles a week. A few years back he decided to work his butt off and got down to 19, sub 1:30 and under 3:15. In his favor he had a lighter-smaller build. Nevertheless, MR could drop 20 lb, actually train for a couple years and do something--although I agree, don't think that's in his make up.
Just an update. I emailed the Lehigh race director yesterday, and she said that they anticipate wrapping up the investigation by the end of May. Sounds like they are taking it more seriously now and not just passing it off to USATF. I do wonder if they have all the evidence spreadsheets from LetsRun, SaraB etcexcerpt...."we are in the process of interviewing more than 100 runners, including Mr. Rossi. A five-person panel of community leaders who are also marathon runners will review the evidence and make a recommendation on what action the race committee should take. We expect to conclude the review by the end of May."

Rojo said that he was on this case. I merely asked for an article OR and explanation from Rojo.
Thank you! First post of any substance in the past few days.

She said that, eh? What was the name of this race director? I thought Mr. Yasso was the race director of the LVM.
Barb McKeever is the race director for Lehigh, not Mr. yasso. That was incorrectly included in at least one of the articles
