That's right, 4 laps and 4 donuts; you can't get arrested for eating donuts on a high school track.
The Denver Donut Mile - Noon, Jan. 2nd, 2010, South High School Track - Bring your own donuts (BYOD). Come one, come all.
Competitors must bring four regular sized donuts. For sake of uniformity the donuts must be fom either 7-Eleven, Dunkin Donuts, Tim Horton's or Winchell's (a denver favorite); Krispy Cremes are a banned substance. This will allow for reasonable comparison of results if runners in other cities decide to join in the fun. Also, at least one of the four must be either a jelly or a creme filled donut.
Dounts must be eaten in the standard (4x400) transition zone; chewn and swallowed before competitors begin each lap.
Hold your own race in your own city and post the results here. Currently there are plans for a race in Buffalo, NY sometime this winter (conact Jesse Mang). I'll compile the results as they come in. Best to get your video cameras out as well; the top time will have to be verified in order to declare a current champion.
Best of luck and happy holidays.
