Can someone explain this? Does she have problems moving on?

To be fair, she'll only be 24 when she's in College
I was granted two medical redshirts for cross country and I’m old for my grade. If I wanted to milk out school I could be an ncaa athlete when I’m 24 and in college. Not crazy weird
18-19
19-20
20-21
21-22
22-23
23-24
24-25
So she has been doing something track related at Michigan for almost 7 years, hope she got a master's or something.

Yeah, only Kenyans should be allowed to do this.
She's 24. Graduated in 2013. 6 years.
... EDNAH KURGAT going to be 28 this month.
will transfer to byu
There's usually one specific scenario where this so called age-cheating issue comes up: BYU.
The beef seems to be religious. No one on this board ever calls Roman Catholics a cult, so Notre Dame doesn't prompt hate threads but the vitriol pours heavy when BYU or LDS comes up.
As is often pointed out on such threads, the NCAA is welcome to make age rules. Until they do, oh well....

You need to watch the play “Book of Mormon”. You will then understand.
LDS, I think Joseph Smith was on LSD.

I feel bad for the BYU team. Basically take 2 years off and come back but people can only focus on their age for some reason.

Let me correct you - take 2 years to recover from 10 years of constant running & racing. And they do it in the middle of their college cycle.
Name a BYU athlete who has won an NCAA title as a freshman.

If Notre Dame was rolling out teams of 25 year olds every year, people would complain. It isnt an LDS issue other than the are the only one that does it.
There are obvious issues with the rules from high school age differences (i.e. our XC team 2 seniors. One was a 16 year old who turned 17 right after states. The other was 19) to what is the advantageous to being 2 years older but missing out on 2 years of training.

Anyone can take 2 years off training and delay their college career if they want. You'd have to be an idiot to believe it would help you though.

yeah not totally unusual- miler Hanna Meier raced indoors this season in her 6th year at Michigan-injuries/transfers can eat up one year easily--
Wow, by age 25 I had already graduated with a BS, gotten an MS, had two years of work experience and bought a house.
She's still in college?!
She's not still doing undergrad. Got her degree in biochemistry two years ago, finished up her Masters in Public Health this spring and will start med school in the fall. Yes, I do think it's a little absurd that she still has eligibility at her age but your post makes it seem like she's taking 6 years to get an undergrad. Starting med school in the fall also means she studied for and took her MCAT. So not like she was slouching.
According to the Michigan website, her birthday is in November so she'll only be 25 because she's on the older side for her grade.
Check out her page from the MPH website:
Erin Finn is a really good student . She had a solid record in the classroom and has a few degrees , at least two I know of anyway .
Not sure how she got a 6 th year . Maybe the NCAA doesn’t argue it much these days . Maybe he track record in the classroom helped .
She is 24 , no where near 25 . She might have a Dec bday which is 6 months away . Her last race is this week in college for sure ! Ha
She seems like she's on track (pun intended) to be a professional college student.

Medical redshirts because her coach stinks and kept getting her injured.
That 10k in the heat with her having heat exhaustion was brutal. She went out way too fast - coach picked a strategy that could have gotten her killed.
