Tirunesh has also brought her own pacemaker.
They say Kimeto was 18 seconds behind this pace in his first 5k.

This literally made me laugh out loud.
What shoes are the pacers/Kipchoge wearing?
Finally got a good image of the chase pack, 4 pacemakers in front of Kipsang, then another pacemaker right behind or next to him. Still not far behind Kipchoge.
Not sure what the point of two separate groups so close together. Makes you think Kipchoge doesn't want to run with anyone else.
watching in German....can someone watching on NBC let me know when I'm supposed to go down to my local track......?
Gap is about 10 seconds. Kipchoge is about 11 secs under WR pace.

When you do go to the track, make sure you run in yards.
For all of this talk about Berlin having tons of shade on the course, it looks pretty exposed to the sun to me.
Elliot Kipchoge looking relaxed and on WR pace.

malmo don't disrespect the owners of this site. You wouldn't be here if they didn't create it. You should appreciate how the brojo's have brought us all together. They have more brains then everyone here put together. I admire them. I would be honored to meet them someday for coffee and get to know them. It would be my dream to see Bekele getting the wr and as he runs through the tape the brojo's are holding up both ends of it as he brakes through it. I predict a slow end to this race. He has gone to fast. Kipsang will catch up eventually.
Was really hoping Kipsang and Kipchoge would be running side by side after 30km, a great 1 on 1 battle for the WR. Kipgsang probably smart not to try that as Kipchoge would blow him up.

Kipchoge set up this pace (61 minutes at the half) and Kipsang decided it was a bit too fast so he set up another pace going through the half 30 seconds slower.
This has been talked about on this website in detail for the past couple days.
It's too sunny. Why is Kipchoge wearing arm warmers? He's already wiping off sweat with his singlet.
