Great to see Kipchoge getting the credit he deserves. And we agree with the headline.

Sammy Wanjiru was better. He was also way more interesting, with his AK-47, his rediculous Beijing race, and his infidelity.

K Bekele: fake news by the failing NY Times

Sammy was super entertaining and charismatic, and his boldness was something to behold the times when he was not really in the best of shape.
But I don't think Kipchoge's discipline makes him boring. On the contrary, it's a rare thing to behold—some guy on top not frittering away his talent and loving what he does with no doubts. I don't think I learned anything new about him from this article though.
2:02:44 by Kipchoge
Bekele to run 2:02:43 not too long from now

Sammy was better-he had more talent. If he lived long enough and trained liked kipchoge, their races would have been highly entertaining.
Kipchoge is not the GOAT.
Galen Rupp, he of the 2nd fastest American time and bronze Oly medal is clearly better!
His 147th fastest marathon is absolute proof of his world dominance and superior career.
Rupp makes more than those faster Africans so he must be best. Or at least the bestliest.
Nice piece. He is a legend, I wish him the best for Berlin.

Better re-run the article, with updates, for emphasis. History has been made again!

You need New York Slimes to validate your sport? These presstitutes are garbage.
You want to NBC to say it was a good event, those morons?
You want a prize from the morons????
You only need recognition on LetsRun and among the community. You're the crown crowners.

That photo makes him look a lot older, more like 43.
