Just curious how do other countries react when Athletes don't stand for their National Anthem? Lets say before the GGG Vs Canelo Alvarez fight, Alvarez hears of Police Misconduct/Corruption so before the Fight when they sing the Mexican National Anthem, Canelo decides to sit or take a knee, Would he still be as popular with Mexican Fans, Or If at the Tokyo Olympics if a Japanese Athlete wins the Gold and at the Awards Ceremony he decides to sit or kneel, what would be the reaction of the Japanese Public.
In the Jesse Owens movie, 2nd place Long Jumper showed Great Sportsmanship when German officials were trying to screw Owens, Later Long told Owens he wanted to win, but it had to be fair, then he said he did not like what was going on and he was against Hitler, yet when it was time for the Medals ceremony, Long gave the Hitler salute. What if he had done like Kaepernick and refused to give the German Salute?
Also kind of related if anyone knows the history of Germany in the 1930's-40's Did the Media (not sure if there was TV) Radio, Papers, Celeberties, Athletes etc. Bash Hitler as much as in the USA Trump gets bashed.
I know they had book burnings of Jewish Authors in Germany, but in lets say Japan when people get offended by a statue that has been there for 100 years, do they take them down as is happening in the USA.
Trying to figure out if what we see in the USA is normal in most or all countries?
