My season has extended as a training partner and because my coach (who is, to answer DR68, one of my school's former greats) has said I'm not even peaking because he thought my season would go longer and not end because of some dumb rule. Anyways, I ran my best workout of the season this week (good and bad I guess, I'm only really coming into form). I'll put my full stuff up shortly.
Good luck to all competing this week!
Sorry I forgot to post last week, just completely slipped my mind.
Monday: workout, legs felt so heavy and drained
1 mile easy
2 sets of:
2x200 @32 w/ 200 jog, 800 @2:15 w/ 900 jog, 300 @46-47 w/800 jog
Tuesday: 6 miles easy @7:30 legs felt a little better
Wednesday: went to trainer to get my hip worked on, had a bunch of knots in there.
Supposed to be a workout day, but my coach had me cut the workout after the first 2 reps of 600. Cut the run at 30 minutes
Thursday: 5 miles @ 6:40
legs feeling much better, went to the trainer again before the run to get worked on. Didn't want to go this fast but it just came naturally, Didn't even know I was going that fast until after the run
Friday: 5 miles @6:50, still getting hip worked on. 6x80 striders after the run
Legs felt great, slightly better pace, definitely easy but I want to make sure I'm keeping it slower
Saturday: 12 miles easy, @7:25. Legs feel great
Ran trails with the boys for the first 6 then got on the roads.
Sunday: off, left hamstring a little sore and my hip got tight and a little sore again
