Kevin has been crushing it this year and just ran a sub 30 10K and Neville was the 1500 champ last year and just won XC nationals this weekend. Who wins in a 5000 on the track right now?

They are not even on the same planet.
Castille would almost lap Neville in a 5000m on the track.

You are out of your mind. Castille is great, but no way he goes runs anything close to 13:30 which would be what he would need to lap him. I give Castille 14:20 at best. Maybe 14:35 for Neville.
Gotta agree here that Castille would lap him... first of all, Neville is not even American, he's Irish. Secondly, I've raced Neville, he hasn't been in sub-15:00 shape since about 2010. Castille is setting World Records. I think Neville just won Club Nats in 32:30... the same course Castille would run 30:00. Completely different animals. One is world class, one is a good club runner.
Davey ran 14:40 on the track last spring and is in much better shape now.

false. no way neville gets lapped. it may be true that he has not broken 15 recently, but he's clearly been in sub-15 shape given his range and sub-4 1500m times from 2016, not to mention a downhill 4:00 road mile this year. neville's got a good enough balance of speed and strength to run a 14:30-ish 5k, so castille probably still beats him by over 10 seconds.
but no way castille runs 30:00 in lexington. both are world class runners at the masters level; castille just happens to be virtually unbeatable at the masters level...
that's my story and i'm sticking to it,
cush
I hear it's downhill, but at Peachtree this year Castille split 13:52 for the first 5K before fading badly to run 36:40.
here's the deal. Where has Neville Davey been at the last 10 US Masters Championships? The 15K, 10K, Half, 10K, 5K, etc.? Just wants to race close to home on downhill California spoiled courses like Carlsbad?

Davey literally just won the Masters XC championship in Kentucky. Where was Castillio?
Not saying he would beat Castille because I don't think that is the case, but Davey just ran 14:44 on the road on Thanksgiving day at the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot. Not sure where "he's not even in sub 15 shape" is coming from but it's not accurate. He could probably run mid 14's on the track right now as someone else suggested. Castille could probably run 14:10-15 right now on the track.

Erm, he went to Eugene and won the masters 1500 exhibition this summer.
And, he just went to KY and won the club XC national title.
So he's been racing in high-profile races and winning them. Not sure what your point is? Also, your comment on Carlsbad is a bit ridiculous as it is not an especially fast course.
love the racism on this site. Purposefully calling Castille "Castillo" and getting all jacked up because an Irishman won the Club Nationals? Thanks.
Congratulations, John Howell, of the Bowerman Track Club for winning the Masters USATF National Club Cross Country Championship!!

What do you mean by that?
He means that Davey's citizenship is Ireland, not the USA, so he is not the USATF Masters Club Champion
sean wade will be back to beat both of them

Also, the USATF masters exhibition events are limited to US citizens. So, he must be a US citizen. Makes sense since he's been in the country since college.
it's not a question. neville is a citizen. so is meb. so is sean wade. all easily moreso than some of the idiots on this message board...
