Once again letsrun dumbfounds me. We have damn near everyone posting who claims they, while "out of shape," and "old" can "easily jog" a 15 something 5k. Yet somehow a man still in his early 30's, with a mile PR of 3:46, who by all accounts still runs and maintains a decent level of fitness is believed by some to only be capable of a 67 400m?
Come on ya turds. I was a very mediocre runner in high school (17:42 5k) and routinely ran sub 60 400's at the end of of dual meets. Even now, at 32 I unable to break 18:30 for a 5k, I can still handle a 62 400 with 25mpw and limited speed sessions.
Alan Webb can run sub 60. Alan Webb will run sub 60 10 years from now with 15mpw and strides only.
